A Bargam For Silver
A Bargain for Silver is a story built on imbalance: between authority and empathy, power and restraint, truth and silence.
Seraphina lives within the Gold Court, a world of order, image, and control. Unlike her family, she seeks connection beyond palace walls, forming bonds with human villages. Through these visits, she uncovers a growing crisis: people are vanishing without explanation, and fear is spreading across the land.
The threat becomes clearer when survivors describe a disturbing encounter, a voice mimicking a child in distress, crimson eyes in the dark, and an overwhelming loss of will. This force does not belong to the Gold Court or the Silver Court, yet both are blamed, pushing tensions toward open conflict.
At the center of this chaos is Seraphina’s rare and forbidden ability: the power to stop time. When violence erupts, she uses it to prevent destruction, knowing it comes at a physical cost and was never meant to be revealed. That single act changes her fate.
Declared disobedient, she is stripped of her place and forced into a political marriage with the Silver Court’s ruling power.
As she leaves everything familiar behind, Seraphina steps into a darker world, one where danger is constant, loyalty is uncertain, and the truth behind the disappearances may be far worse than either kingdom imagined.
